ScrapBlog of the Week (17)
Sunday, April 30, 2006 at 08:13PM Scrapability’s Scrap Blog of the Week -Week 17 2006 : Lisa Vollrath
My choice for Scrapblog of the Week this week is a timely one. On first perusing LisaVollrath.com, the casual viewer might not even notice it’s setup on blogging type software. But the articles have a comments area at the bottom - well at least the link I gave you is (more on that later…)
Take a look around the website itself, and you will find stacks of articles on altered art, mixed media projects, and a very helpful series of articles on copyright. The articles can be found from this index, and the copyright and podcasts can be found from the World according to Lisa area onsite. Lisa also does Digital and CDs, and an Ezine called The Muse. The website itself could see you spending hours.
But it is the latest article which I would like to select for timeliness. The Lisa Vollrath link I gave you at the top is to a preview blog article for a Mother’s Day image countdown. Lisa did a similar exercise for valentines day. This time for Mother’s Day (for the rest of the world, please note - as the U.K has already celebrated the day two months ago), going to this link from May 5th to May 14th will allow you to follow a daily link to pick up a free image to download. Last Valentines, the images available in the countdown included romantic stamps, vintage valentines cards and several others which quickly made their way into my own image library. Lisa does this in tangent with several other mixed media artists, and bookmarking the site with a daily reminder will well be worth your bother.
